To learn more about your chapter, contact your chapter president or OSEA field representative. There are lots of ways to get involved with your local chapter, from attending meetings, becoming a steward or worksite organizer or running for a position on your chapter’s executive Board. Contact your chapter president for a copy of your contract. Your chapter contract determines your salary, benefits, leave policies and more. Chapters have their own constitutions and elected leaders who govern at the local level, the way the OSEA State Constitution and Board of Directors govern the union statewide. Every chapter is a unique bargaining unit, meaning they negotiate their collective bargaining agreement (CBA) or contract with their employer. ![]() We believe our schools are places for learning, and grades should represent what a student knows. OSEA is comprised of 140 chapters, each representing the staff of a single school district or employer. TTSD will continue with the NG- no grade mark for all secondary students that do not demonstrate or provide enough evidence of mastery of content standards within their course. ![]()
